Scott is the Founder of 1031 Investment Services, LLC. He has been in the real estate and investment business for the past 30 years with 20 years of exclusive focus on real estate for 1031 exchanges. Since starting the company in 2004 he has assisted clients with over 1,300 1031 exchange transactions into more than $22 billion in real estate.
Prior to forming 1031 Investment Services, Scott was a Vice President at Behringer Harvard, an institutional real estate investment firm and Tenant In Common (TIC) Sponsor. He was an integral part of the team responsible for launching Behringer Harvard’s Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Fund, and TIC programs totaling $1.6 billion.
Scott is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with Degrees in Economics and Rhetoric.

Mike Bendix is a Partner at 1031 Investment Services, LLC. Mike is also Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DFPG Investments, LLC (DFPG), a full-service broker dealer associated with Diversify Advisor Network, and is chairman of DFPG’s Investment Committee. He has over 30 years of experience in the finance and real estate industry.
Mike was the 2016 President of the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA), a national trade association with 4,500 key decision-makers who represent more than 220,000 professionals. He currently serves as chairman of ADISA’s Broker-Dealer Advisory Council. Prior to his presidency, Mike was the Chairman of the ADISA Due Diligence Forum and served on its Membership, Education, Conference Planning and Legislative & Regulatory Committees.
In 2014, Mike was awarded A Champion of Excellence (ACE) award, which recognizes ADISA members who have reached the pinnacle of their career through accomplishments in their professional life, the community, and the advancement of the industry. Mike is often asked to present to real estate and securities professionals and their clients, and serves as an expert in real estate and securities-related legal matters.
Mike received a B.S. in Information and Computer Science from the UC Irvine.

Kevin Bendix is a Partner at 1031 Investment Services, LLC and specializes in alternative investments, including securitized IRC § 1031-eligible products. Kevin is also Chief Legal Officer of Diversify Advisor Network, leading the firm’s wealth management growth strategy, and sits on the Executive Committee and Investment Committee. Kevin is an active member of the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA), the nation’s largest trade association for the alternative and direct investment industry, serving on its Legislative & Regulatory Committee.
Kevin is a former partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, the largest law firm in the world by revenue and profits. Kevin’s private practice focused on developing large-scale defense strategies for his clients in high-stakes business disputes, often leading teams with billions of dollars in dispute. He was also a specialist advisor on deals for a number of the country’s leading private equity firms and their portfolio companies, including those within financial services. Kevin also served as a lecturer at UCLA School of Law.

Zach is a Partner at 1031 Investment Services, LLC and specializes in alternative investments with a particular focus on 1031-eligible Delaware Statutory Trust investments (DSTs), and other securitized real estate products. Zach is an active member of the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA), the nation’s largest trade association for the alternative and direct investment industry.
Since beginning his career, Zach has facilitated or assisted in over 750 1031 Exchange transactions. In his role at 1031 Investment Services, Zach couples his Real Estate and 1031 Exchange experience with a focus on client service. Zach is located in Manhattan which offers him direct access to many sponsor companies, their representatives, and, most importantly, many of 1031 Investment Services LLC's valued clients.
Zach holds a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law and a B.S. from Boston College, as well as FINRA Series 7, 66 and 63 registrations.
